Recon lives in your team’s group text. Start your message with “Recon” so it knows you mean it; otherwise it stays quiet. Use the stock number and say what changed. If something is unclear, Recon asks one short question.

“Recon, add 24830 2021 Subaru Outback, blue, 41,200 miles”

Adds the vehicle to the board.

“Recon, 24830 RO is 6104412”

Records the RO number.

“Recon, 24830 is getting brakes and an alignment, total is $1,240”

Records the work and the total, and starts mechanical.

“Recon, move 24830 to detail”

Moves it to detail.

“Recon, 24830 is at the body shop”

Updates where the car is.

“Recon, 24830 is sold”

Marks it sold. It stays on the board until recon is done.

“Recon, 24830 is frontline ready”

Completes it and takes it off the active board.

“Recon, what’s holding up 24830?”

Answers from the live record.

“Recon, how is the board looking?”

Sums up what’s in recon right now.

• Mechanical and detail can happen in either order once the RO is opened.
• Changing a stage doesn’t move the car. Tell Recon where it is separately.
• Sold isn’t done. A sold car stays in recon until it’s complete.

Vehicles that finished recon, went to wholesale, or were pulled from the board.

Locations, Team Members

The places cars can be and the people on your team.

• Each vehicle shows its progress as RO, mechanical, detail, done. Green is finished, blue is current, gray is still to come.
• Days in recon count from when the RO is opened, not from when the car arrived on the lot.
• Open a vehicle to see its details, notes, parts, blockers, and a timeline of every change and who made it. From there you can move its stage, set a priority or target date, edit details, add a note, and add or resolve a blocker.

• Check the vehicle on the board. You can correct its details there, or tell Recon: “Recon, 24830 RO is 6104421.”
• Wrong stock number? “Recon, change 2483 to 24830” renames the vehicle without creating a duplicate.
• Notes can’t be edited or deleted. Add a new note that corrects it, or one that says DISREGARD.
• Pulled a car by mistake? “Recon, bring 24830 back” puts it back on the board.
